Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
