We present an easy take on a beverage featured on our latest drinks list. This is a large-volume pre-mixed that is bursting full of flavours of a holiday season, rendering it perfect for your holiday party. Save the extra syrup to use in morning drinks, sweets, or to mix another batch of this cocktail.
The Bikini Cocktail
Serves 10 people
Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Directions
Making the Cordial: Combine all the ingredients in a pan, bring to a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. Next, remove from the burner and leave to reach room temperature entirely. Transfer to a sterilised bottle, close it and store in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to one month.
For the Cocktail Base: Mix the specified liquid ingredients into a large bottle, allow it to infuse for one hour, then strain best through muslin, making it fully clarified.
For serving: Measure 85ml from the batch mix into a stirring glass packed with ice, and stir carefully for one minute to cool it down. Strain to a frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, top with some cranberries adding the final touch with a quick spritz with the mandarin essence above the glass.
